Nexus One

The TED 2010 conference is in full swing in California, bringing together the worlds leading thinkers and doers for four days of inspiring talks. It seems that Google have taken TED’s ‘ideas worth spreading’ motto literally, as they’ve given free Nexus One handsets to everyone at the event following a demo by Google’s Erick Tseng.

Wil Shipley tweeted that a Google Nexus One demo is kind of dull after a guy who can de-animate and re-animate humans, but followed up with ‘Oh, wait, they just gave us all free phones. That got a huge response.’

Google are obviously keen to get the Nexus One into the hands of as many people whose opinions they value as possible, and the TED conference is as good an opportunity as any. If you haven’t heard of TED by the way it’s well worth a look and also available as a mobile application from the Android market.
